I like this brand for their quality in choosing herbs for their formulas and their focus on getting results. This glycerite is very useful to me at the moment for massaging a recovering muscle in the forearm as I don't want oil all the time, though oils give a great massage.

I broke my big toe recently so wanted to boost the strength of a comfrey cream i was using to speed up the healing of the bone,ligaments and surrounding tissues.I added 5 dropperfuls of Dr Christophers Comfrey root extract to a 100mg jar of comfrey cream and stirred it in well.It was noticeable to me that it increased the effectiveness of the creams painkilling qualities as well as helped speed up the knitting of the fracture.

Over the following days the pain became less each time the extract was applied , so support bandages are not used as frequently now . I have already recommended it to various people , one of whom has assured her aunt in Scotland that it will help with her thumb joint problem . It has been applied to my creaking knees , and has relieved the problem .

There are two types of comfreys,Russian blocking 14 , grown from the root and the other one, grown from seed. So the first one is more dangerous and contains more pyrrolizidine alkaloids, and I am not sure what kind is used in this liquid form, cause it's really strong. It works, but be careful,it may penetrate through the skin to your liver as well. Support your liver if you use it regularly on skin and don't drink. Not hurting doesn't mean no problem(talking about the liver)
