Herbatint is a good product, and 5C is a nice shade; however, the recommendations for my hair were to mix it with 5N in order to achieve better gray coverage. Consequently, I did not achieve the true 5C shade, but more of a 5N shade. I do like the product though.
Based on other reviews, I ordered one shade lighter than I would have, and the color was perfect. Very close to my natural color. Doesn’t smell or stain as bad as normal box color. No applicator included. I used a root touch up brush from a former product and a disposable plastic bowl but a squeeze bottle would have been a LOT easier. Follow instructions carefully. They include how to blend 2 colors together if needed, which I appreciated. I processed for 40 min total to cover Grey. If you’re sensitive- do a skin test. I had no problems- but better to be safe and ensure you’re not allergic. Will definitely buy again
Finally just the right color to cover my increasing amount of grey hair. I have very dark brown hair, but find that this color comes off much closer to that than the darker tones by the same brand (less red/copper/indigo pigments, I suppose). As with all the shades, very easy to use and long-lasting.

I have purchased this hair dye to conceal some of the grey hair that I have and it works perfectly. I really like the fact that it doesn't damage the hair like many brands of hair dye. But it is still recommended to nourish your hair with mask after use. And you could mix cold shades with neutral etc.
Herbatint is a wonderful line of non-irritating color for this sensitive scalp outdoors woman. My hair is over 60 percent gray (white) or more, and the Herbatint line of mixable colors expertly covers my whites, and refreshes my length when I choose to "drag through" in the last 10 minutes of coloring. (I now use 3 N + 4C during the winter months; adding a bit of 5C or 5N during the summer when the "rest" of my hair gets more sun, and my skin more tan). I do NOT use the conditioner provided in the box; it has a very strong fragrance, and I am allergic to all fragrance. The color itself has no offensive fragrance, nor is it irritating to my scalp.
First time trying this hair dye and I’m loving it! It has no scent and it’s very gentle to the scalp. I have very sensitive scalp and it didn’t irritate my skin at all. Covers grey hairs really well and the amount it contains is enough for long hair use. Only downside is that even after the mixture is mixed well, it’s still a bit runnier and it’s a bit difficult to apply on as it will drips down.
love this product, covers well, doesn't make scalp itchy, doesn't dry out hair. Great value for the price. Not a strong sent very mild. I've been using this product for years and loving the light ash chestnut color. I also use the Herbatint shampoo and cream rinse, it makes the color last longer.
I was surprised to read a lot of negative reviews about this product. I don't know how are the effects of using different colours but 5C will certainly stay with me for many more years. The colour is natural, hair is healthy and shiny. It doesn't have any smell, my skin was never itching after applying. I'm applying on the roots only so I have one box for two times. It covers 100% of gray hair, color stays intensive until next colorisation. I'm 100% satisfied. The only problem is that I cannot find it directly in Croatia where I live ;)
